Custom-Made 100% Mohair Cinches & Girths – Grown, Spun & Crafted in Australia
Each cinch or girth is made to order using 100% adult mohair sourced from goats raised on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia. This naturally soft, breathable fibre is gentle on your horse’s skin and remains soft and comfortable when cared for with the occasional wool wash and by storing and using it free from mud and debris.
Designed in the traditional Western cowboy style, these mohair cinches are known for their strength, flexibility, and ability to promote airflow—making them ideal for both everyday riding and performance.
We use 16-ply mohair cords for the main body (equivalent in strength to some 8-ply designs) and add detailed accents with 6-ply mohair, creating a cinch that’s not only functional but beautifully finished.
Horses readily accept the feel of pure mohair, often showing improved comfort and responsiveness compared to synthetic or blended materials.
